World Class

 

Silent Sound (1st - 98.139) rose almost 2.5 points from Invitational V. Silent Sound held a lead of just 0.029 points over 2nd place. Showing strong scores all around, they finished 1st in Winds, Percussion, and Colorguard. They also place 4th in General Effect.

Red Line Regiment (2nd - 98.110), the defending World Champion had traded places all season with Silent Sound. Increasing their score by almost 2 points from Invitational V, they placed 2nd in General Effect and Colorguard and 3rd in Winds and Percussion.

​

The Marching Dragons (3rd - 97.789) began their first foray into MCI World Championships with 2nd place finishes in Winds and Percussion and 3rd place finishes in General Effect and Colorguard.

​

The Bored Knights (4th - 96.902) held a strong lead over the rest of the competition field in General Effect, taking 1st in the caption. They finished 4th in Winds and 5th in Percussion and Colorguard. Bored Knights notably placed 2nd in the Percussion Substance sub-caption.

​

Company Petite (5th - 95.073), who lasted performed back at the first Invitational of Season 2, returned to MCI with strong finishes in all captions. They placed 4th in Colorguard, 5th in Winds, and 6th in General Effect and Percussion. Their colorguard stood out placing 3rd in both the Colorguard Design and Colorguard Integration sub-captions.

Palm Gulch HS (6th - 94.772), Season 2 Open Class Silver Medalist moved into World Class with a strong 4th place finish in Percussion, 5th in General Effect, and 6th in Winds and Colorguard. Their 4th place finish in Percussion allowed them to hold a lead of 3.578 points above 7th place and the Finals cut-off line, the largest margin in Prelims.

Fusion (7th - 91.194) finished their season with 7th place finishes in General Effect, Winds, and Percussion and an 8th place finish in Colorguard. They placed as high as 5th in the Cleanliness sub-caption.

​

Beaux Musique (8th - 89.237) had previously competed at Invitationals I and II in Open Class, but joined World Class for Championships. They finished just under 2 points behind 7th place and held 8th place finished in General Effect, Winds, and Percussion and a 7th place finish in Colorguard.
